William Blake Milton
A Poem
Luisterboek (digitaal)
Milton is an epic poem by William Blake, written and illustrated between 1804 and 1810. Its hero is John Milton, who returns from Heaven and unites with Blake to explore the relationship between living writers and their predecessors, and to undergo a mystical journey to correct his own spiritual errors. William Blake (1757-1827) was an English poet, painter and printmaker, largely unrecognized in his own lifetime, but now widely acclaimed as a major figure in the history of the poetry and art of the Romantic Age. His major works include "Songs of Innocence", "Songs of Experience", "The Book of Thel", and "Milton: A Poem" Bron: Flaptekst, uitgeversinformatie
